Thank you to everyone who cheered me on yesterday, especially @anniesanger@claresanger and @lucypayne7 who chased around London making sure to scream at me from different places and were there to document my state after the finish line! 😂
My quads are a bit sore today after running the last 10km with cramp on both sides 😂🤦🏼♂️ ...not ideal! But London was still insane yesterday and I feel like I didn't stop smiling the whole was round! 🎉

Thank you, London! What an amazing race! I honestly didn't remember it being so insane in 2012. Fiona is right, the #vmlm is the World's Best Marathon! At points along the course I felt like I was going to get swallowed up by the spectators!! And there were times it was deafening loud!!! My day was a mess! And please note, "mess" is a huge understatement. Ha!!! I went for it, and came up very, very short, but finished. Therefore, I am at the half way point of my 2017 Abbott World Marathon Major adventure! Excited for a little break for rest and recovery!
I have learned a ton during this first half. I won't borrow you with all my learnings, but what I can tell you it is ok to take chances and fail! Oh, failing is horrible, but not the end of the world. @joshcox in a post today said it well. As athletes we have a lot more often disappointments than unbridled successes. That is very true.
Taking risks and going for it, without fear of failing was reinforced this morning for me while having "breakie" with an amazing person / adventurer today. Never once did we talk about pace or time, but we talked about the experience and what I have learned. So yes, I failed as a runner yesterday, and that is ok. But stopping and "smelling the roses" today over breakfast is truly what this journey is about. #livingliferight#blessedrunner#marathonmemories
