The Cascata delle Marmore (Marmore falls) is a natural waterfall nature preserve near the city of Terni in Umbria. It is considered one of the highest waterfalls in Europe and is open to hike and visit.
Fun Fact: The name comes from the presence of calcium carbonate salts on the rocks that makes them look like white marble. In italian marmo bianco means white marble hence Marmore Falls. Photograph by @selenepietropaoli
