I've just spent two days with people who inspire me to keep serving, no matter the cost. Yesterday, I celebrated at the Children's Hope Dinner (and oh my gosh, what a celebration it was). Today, I listened to selfless leaders talk about the present and the future at the @orphanoutreach board meeting. We laughed and cried and dreamt together. Now I'm tucked away with the hubs and the pup, writing about what God is doing in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children. And I can't help but pray this little prayer - it's for you. I hope your journey on this little blue ball includes the stuff that inspires you to love well. I hope you get to work alongside people who you admire - people who truly care with such abandon and serve with such gratitude. I hope you have a love that sticks with you, even when life is crazed and time is limited. I hope you have a community of folks that hold you up and hold you close, even when you are a tad curmudgeonly. I hope you get to tell the stories that change stories. And I hope you have one four-legged baby who believes popcorn is only good when eaten out of a willing hand. All of these things are good. For all of these things I am thankful.
Next Tuesday 2nd May is the next meeting of the 'Mum's the Word, ' prayer group .Open to mums , female carers & grandmothers. For more information pop over to their group.
