Does anyone else feel like social media has become a hot spot for self-proclaimed life coaches, mentors and enlightened gurus? I see it all the time and it has me curious. You see, I'm BIG on having mentors. Hands down one of the most crucial things you can do if you are wanting to expand somewhere new, I get it. I have mentors myself that I happily pay to work with because I froth over their work and want to follow closely in their footsteps. But sometimes, I am wary of advice that is sold online from people who may or may not walk their talk. That's where Mr David TS Wood comes in.
You won't see him with 500K followers on Insty because his work is so much more tangible then pretty images on a screen. He flys all over the world to meet with people, belly to belly, and talk WITH them, not AT them. In fact, I have been in his trainings in San Diego, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne and now Sydney and EVERY SINGLE time I leave feeling 10ft tall and bulletproof. I listen to his podcasts at the gym (the KickAss Life & Amplified NWM) because it makes me FEEL better than rap songs about booties (don't get me wrong, they have their place too 😜). And while he holds the accolades of self-made multi multi millionaire, entrepreneur, island-owner, world class trainer, speaker & humanitarian - its his heart that makes the most impact. He is the guy that will invite homeless people into his house to give them a meal and a hot shower. He is the man that will reply to me on fb when I'm lost and in desperate need of advice, that kinda guy.
SO. When I hit a huge hurdle last week and felt like utter crap, I knew I had one of two choices. I could take advice from broke, unhappy people and be like them OR put M in the car, get my butt to Davids event in Sydney and put in werk on MYSELF. Regardless of the fact I've been to his training multiple times before and regardless of the fact that I am someone who already invests in mentors, I am SO aware that personal development, for me, is a lifelong commitment.
And so, as his event wraps up today in Sydney and a wave of peeps explode out the doors, changed and dripping in gratitude - know this (read the rest in the comments ⬇️
