As a RN I have to earn CEU's (continuing education units) to maintain my license. I am beyond excited that this class was being offered near me!! I can't wait to learn more about the pharmacy in my kitchen and apply what I learn to my health coaching practice!!
A friend of mine share this podcast with me this morning and I found it so inspiring (https://lewishowes.com/podcast/h-dave-asprey2/) Check of out! In this episode, Lewis Howes interviews this very inspiring guy, Dave Asprey. And by the way Thanks @karenfran11 for sharing this podcast!! New word that I learned in this episode is 'mitochondria' and I am so happy that I have learned about this. It inspired me to go back to my green juices again and start my day today with greens and cut the sugar again. I have been struggling since the holiday season with sugar, just because I allowed myself a piece of cake and haven't been able to stay off sugar ever since. In my juice this morning I used lots of parsley, cucumber, freshly squeezed lemon juice, mixed kale variety from @kindorganics, a few chunks of pineapple and water. It feels fresh and clean like Spring. 🍀 So getting back to this podcast, in this Episode, You Will Learn:
How your body and brain process energy like a battery (4:42)
Why you should push your body to its limits once a week (15:10)
Why Dave only works out once or twice a week (17:25)
The new program Dave has created to get years of meditation zen effects in a few days (21:26)
What is possible by taking advantage of your brain’s neuroplasticity (24:30)
The new compound that makes your brain able to change itself better (25:10)
The worst toxins for your mitochondria and energy (27:50)
Why vegetable oil is worse for your brain than nicotine (29:15)
Foods everyone should cut out of their diet for good brain health (30:30)
When eating a little sugar is a good idea (37:30)
Plus much more…
