My son loves this version of a milktart.
It's a 'Microwave Milktart' which I got off @safiyyapatel Vanilla Sugar Facebook page a year or so ago.
It's so quick and easy.......that's what I love about it😉
And He loves the sweet, rich, creamy, velvety and delicious taste AND the fact that it can be ready to eat in a matter of minutes.....
Dessert made in less than twenty minutes.
Can you beat that....🙌
Here's the recipe for those of you who would like to give it a try.
In a large microwaveable bowl add in a tin of condensed milk. Using the same tin, measure out two tins of fresh milk and add it to the bowl. Microwave this for 7 minutes. In a separate microwaveable bowl add in another tin of fresh milk, a heaped tablespoon of maizena, a heaped tablespoon of custard powder, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vanilla essence. Beat well and add to the other bowl of boiled ingredients. Into the microwave again for another 2-3 minutes until mixture becomes thick. Add a marie or tennis biscuit into little foil cups. Pour about two tablespoons of the mixture over and dust with cinnamon powder and chill before serving. ** My notes...This can be made over the stovetop. Heat the first lot of ingredients in a pot for about 5 minutes then add in the second lot and stir until thick on low heat, stirring all the time so that the mixture does not scorch. Then follow the method as per recipe.
